Looking to do a lift on my newly acquired 3rd gen 4Runner, I have explored all the suspension kit options and feel like I'm leaning towards the front LC coils for the rear & Tundra TRD springs and shocks for the front. Have any of you done this lift and if so would you have a parts list of what you actually ended up needing and were you happy at the end of the day. Thanks for reading.

How much lift does that setup yield ? I have lifted a couple runners for friends and one of mine. I put old man emu on all and have been very happy with ride quality on and off road.i put mine through good use carrying a fair amount of gear off-road. I'd be interested in hearing how you like that setup if you go that route. What size tire do you plan on running?

Curious what year LC and Tundra you would be getting springs from. Does this setup require a front diff drop. Look to gain some lift but not wanting to mess with the the front diff.

91-97 Land Cruiser fjz80, not sure about the Tundra, that's one question I was hoping to get answered in this post

you cant gain that much lift (4") on the stock control arm setup no matter what spring you put in. you will be putting to much stress on the cv shafts even with a diff drop as well as rubbing of the tire on the upper control arm at the ball joint unless you get new rims with different back spacing or spacers. but even then that much lift isn't reliably/safely possible on the stock control arms. I have setup a few runners on 33's and even better choice a 285/75/16 tire. if you want 33's or possibly a skinny 34 your gonna need a 3" lift with a 1" body lift. my 4 runner had and old man emu suspension and 285/75/16's super swapper trxus tires with no rear sway bar, bumpers, winch, sliders , full roof rack, and a rear locker among other things and drove awesome, flexed great with no rubbing and got 21-23 mpg on the highway heading to the trails. the truck did everything well on the trails. it was a good all around daily driver setup. a 255/85R16 is also another great size for these trucks. for that size id recommend the maxis big horns. it really depends on how much you want to spend and desired use to really decide on how to set the truck up correctly for your budget and intended use. id hate to see you set up a potentially great rig and not be happy afterwards due to a bad recipe of parts. feel free to ask any questions or part info needed to help you with your build.

good luck
Rich

How many miles on it? I did a 3" on my 96 ome 890 rear eibach front bilstein 5100 with diff drop. Also did upper and lower ball joints lower a arm bushings and CV s mine had 190k. Fix one thing and something else becomes weak especially with age

Ran 265 75 16 bfg on mine drove great. Going to sell truck soon. Frame rot

You'll be getting around 3'' in the front (depending on perch setting) and 3''-4.5'' in the rear depending on which LC coils. A diff drop is not necessary but most would recommend it. I have the Tundra Bilstein shocks in front and really like them so far.

I believe most run LC 7 wraps in the rear with nets about 3.5''
