I am looking to lift my 4runner.

Want to be able to trail ride and also do 80 mph on the highway

What should I look at?

I saw one 4runner and liked the stance

3 inches in front 4 inches in the back

The owner told me he used landcruiser springs. Are there any links to full detail of a lift using landcruiser springs?

I also plan on ordering a shockworks bull bar

The heavy duty Old Man Emu is looking like my choice.

I'm considering the same thing, but I'm in no hurry. It may be awhile as I have other maintenance related items I need to tackle first.

Right there with you. The wait list for shockworks is crazy.

Spending all that loot and having to wait is not so fun.

Lift will come first.

After AC fix :grinpimp:

I have the heavy OME springs all around on my 99. If you don't plan on getting a winch don't get the heavy springs... I'm going to get a winch but can't afford one yet, my ride sucks... Whenever I hit bumps it jars my entire body; and that's with bud built skids, rock sliders, and an outdoor logic front bumper...

Other that that I love the height (+3") good luck on your project!

That's good info, thanks! I'd like to add a winch eventually, too. Do you think the winch will make a big difference to the overall ride when added?

Get some 2000 - 2002 TRD 4x4 Tundra Strut assemblies ( I got mine slightly used from a wrecked unit at the wrecking yard) with a 3/8" Top plate spacer for the front.

Get a Toytec Front Diff drop kit

Some FJ80 or FZJ80 (Landcruiser) Front coils for the back of your truck and some new Landcruiser rear shocks for the back!

This was a suggestion that I may go with.

Where can I find a Top Plate Spacer? Do I need it with this setup?

Will the Tundra/FJ80 lift set up be able to handle a Bull Bar and Sliders in added weight?

Yeah, mine has gotten a little softer with each accessory added so I figure once I add 100ish pounds right out there in front it'll be nice and smooth... Gotta add an aftermarket rear bumper too in order to soften up the rear as well.

I would consider the OME set up. Tried and true.

Yea Id rather be happy then save some money.

Im about one month from pulling the trigger on the lift.
