Hello All, New to this section. I recently bought a 98 4Runner to daily drive so my Diesel Cruiser gets a break..especially in the cold weather. I had initially planned on leaving it stock but after driving it more I really like it and would like to start with mods. I'm a handy guy and will be fabricating as much as possible on my own unless the bolt on stuff is worth every penny.

Plans are for a ARB style front bumper with winch and a rear with dual swing outs for a spare and fuel. Also be throwing sliders on as well.
Aussie rear locker should be arriving this week.

I have a set of 285, 75, 16s that I'd like to fit on the truck. I've spoken with another cruiser head that has coils from a 97 cruiser for me that I'll install with longer rear shocks. The big question is on the front. What can I use/get away with? I'd like to keep it as low as possible while still fitting the tires. What are my best option? how would a 1" body lift help?

Thanks in advance!

You could run TRD Tundra coils with some bilstein 5100's. I think you will be stitting a little taller in the rear with the cruiser springs.

Let me know if you are looking for trd coils and shocks, I took them off my 04 tundra and put Downey coil overs ok it shortly after I bought it in 04

Could you pm me a price for the coils and location?

I am running OME 882 with their NitroCharger struts and LX450 coils with OEM cruiser shocks in the rear. My 265/75R16 Treadwrights are nearly the size of 285s.

look into adjustable bilstein 5100s. they have 3 settings: stock, 1.25", and 2.5". the 5100s let you knock out new shocks and lift for under $200. i run them on my 4runner and they are awesome.
