I have a bad rear third member and am having trouble finding one I was wondering if this third member is interchangeable as far as going with a 95" ex. As long as I keep my gear ratio the same and also does it matter if I have a Mt and I put one in that's been in an At?

I think the t100s used the 8" and 8.4" differential. I'm not sure, so do some research with the VIN and find out. You can also find out by rotation of your tires with them off the ground. Google it.

As for different ratio's between at and mt you'll run into problems. The differentials themselves should be interchangeable but the ratio's are probably different.

I'm not sure on the gear ratios for a T100 but keep in mind very few salvage yards will sell anything but a complete axle. When I bought my current tacoma from a small local shop the guy actually had just rebuilt the rearend wit ha new ring and pinion and all new bearings. It was cheaper for him to rebuild it than buy a used one. I found that hard to believe until I checked car-part.com for used axles.
