I replaced the throtle cable today and then drove my96 FJ80, worked perfectly. Went about 25 miles and parked it. When we went to start the 80, it would start when cranked and then immediatley die when we let off the key from the start position. Any ideas?

can you make it idle with light pressure on the skinny pedal? maybe the computer learned the IAC around a partially open throttle plate with the old cable? if so a relearn is in order, unhook the battery for 5min or so

do you think you disturbed anything during the throttle cable replacement?

I like Raven's question - can you? Did you get home?
