I'm putting a feeler thread out there for my GF, she really wants to take the top off and ride around. Looking for a wrangler clean no rust, no damage, Automatic with the 4.0. She really want some larger tires so maybe some BFG's and a small lift. Has to be maintained, reliable and not wheeled hard.

What I have is 96 LX450 CHAMPAGNE PEARL in color ~176K miles. Non-Locked
Runs very well, I have been DD'ing it for ~4k miles.

Good news is I looked up the VIN on Lexus.com and there are pretty thorough records from Tom Wood Lexus from new until 152K miles and 8/2009 10 pages worth

So far I have given her a good detail, seats, dash, vacuum, soaped the mats, replaced the head light and fixed the mirror. Changed motor oil and transmission oil.

Car Fax came back clean and looks to be a two owner 1996 and second in 1998

The cruise control stalk is still broken but I have been able to verify the cruise does work. 3 of the 4 tires have good tread one is lower than the others. It does mark her spot in the garage but that is the nature of these rigs. I added less than a quart of oil in 3000 miles. Check engine light (Probably O2 sensors), Air bag light is on.
One hole in the drives seat in the usual wear area, the rest looks real good

Got a 98, 2" lift, white/black soft top. 136k, 6 cyl, se, i think it has air, runs, drives solid. My dad purchased it months ago as a tow behind fir his motor home but never uses it. The guy he got it from never wheeled it. It's a 5 spd though. Let me know if you're interested.

Probably wouldn't work out as I just noticed you're in the other part of the world from me...

Side note: you should teach her how to drive a manual. You never know when she may need the skill if she ever needs to steal a vehicle in the zombie apocalypse.

Nice cruiser, should have no problems selling.

Other side note: automatic jeeps sell for way less than manuals. Well, at least in Oregon/Wash they do. You may be better off to sell outright and buy outright but I suppose it's all about the local market.

But again, nice rig, Glws!

It was fun toying with the idea of driving a fancy Lexus. (spoken with a redneck twang)

I saw this post and nearly: 1. Cried a little and/or (mostly and) 2. Ridiculed you terribly.

Then I saw it was for the GF, so its slightly forgiven... But you know, if she wants the top off, I'm sure you could find someone with a plasma torch....

Arjun,
I'll get another no worries. If noone on here want's her, Dave is going to buy it for his wife.
