Hey everyone!
I haven't been on here in a while. I joined about a year ago when my family bought a 1997 FZJ80. I love that thing, it's the safest and most rugged vehicle I've ever ridden in and I never want to get rid of it. Unfortunately I gotta share it with my sister now :/
Anyway, I figured I would post my car for sale here just to see if anyone's interested in it, since I'm not having all that much luck selling it anywhere else lol.
I have for sale a 1992 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350. It has about 160,000 miles on the original L98 350, but has been extremely well cared for and runs great. It's an automatic. It is one of probably 250 or so Formula 350s in 1992 to come with factory t-tops, so it's not too common.
Since January of 2009 when I got the car, I have replaced the egr valve, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, both headlight motors, and the blower motor. Tires are probably 75-80% tread left.
The car has had the center console swapped out for the console from a later model Firebird, so it has cupholders, a huge plus over the stock console. It also has an aftermarket sound system that works great.
The car's not perfect though. The exhaust isn't the greatest and has a couple exhaust clamps in one spot, but it still sounds nasty and probably won't need to be replaced for a while. A/C needs a recharge (R12). Passenger side window motor is on the way out.
This past spring, my sister sideswiped it (with the Land Cruiser, nonetheless!!!) and it got a tad banged up on the side. Nothing major though. I have a couple pics of it. It also has a crack in the rear spoiler and is missing a little piece, which I have in the car. I was quoted at about $850 for all of the damage, not through insurance of course. I would have gotten it done right away, but being a college student, money is a little tight lol.
It also needs minor interior things to be perfect. The cupholder on the drivers side door came off when I accidentally kicked it off getting into the car in a monsoon-like downpour one day. Never bothered to fix it since it was in the way anyway lol. The passenger side seatbelt guide's holes in the headrest are stripped. Bigger screws should fix it up no problem. Just little things that don't affect how the car runs or drives at all.
I'm hoping to get around $3000 for it if anyone's interested. Basically, I need the money to get a daily driver with good gas mileage (up around 30 or so) for commuting to internships and stuff next fall for college, and I also live in the middle of nowhere lol, so better mpgs when going to work daily during the summer and stuff would be nice too.
I'd consider trades for a VW Jetta GLX or a GTI GLX (Mk3 or Mk4) with a manual, or a Subaru 2.5RS with a manual. Those cars are where I've been focusing most of my search on. Shoot me an offer though if you have anything of interest. Any Land Cruiser with a diesel would be sweet too lol
I'm sure I left something out. PM me for questions.
Thanks for looking!
