Was checking my oil today. Well, one thing led to another, and …

Actually - working on a wrecked 91 LC. Passenger inner fender and front end were damaged. I pulled the fender today and am planning to remove the front end part that the radiator, lights, etc bolt to. Not sure what it’s called, but included a pic of the replacement.

Don't have much experience working on trucks, but no issues so far. Just taking notes and pics, so I can put it back the way it was. Drained the radiator today and plan to pull it for repair while I’m in there. I know little about the AC system, but understand enough to know there is refrigerant under pressure. Pretty sure I will have to release it before I can detach the hoses pictured below.

Some guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your vehicle uses R12 refrigerant. Releasing it into the atmosphere is not legal. The refrigerant should be recovered, not released. In addition, you can't just go down to the auto parts store to get replacement. If there is any way to do the job without opening the system, I would definitely go that route.
