I have a 1991 Land Cruiser. I bought it at 150k miles, and drove it to about 320k miles when it threw a rod.

The car has been driven off road very little.

The tires are fairly new.

It has a little rust, and the gas cap door needs painting.

The seats are pretty dam worn.

The carpet it thrashed.

But that baby still ran just fine until 2 weeks ago, and just before that took it up to San Louis Obispo and back.

A rebuilt engine is $4k, and then the car would only be worth about $3500.

So it is time to pass her on to someone who will love her and rebuild her engine, or take her organs to transplant to another, to breathe fresh life into them.

I basically need to get rid of her in the next 3 days or so.

I am sure I can get $200 from the junk yards so the bidding starts there.

You can email me an offer to:

dk (at) purposeinc.com

I will email back anyone whose offer is beat till they are out.

I will wrap it up by Monday 10p.m. pacific time.

Thanks for playing boys!

Feel free to email me any questions, and I will answer them here if the system lets me get back in.

Body is overall in great shape, with some rust on the top front of hood by the window, (from salt water dripping from my surfboards)

It has a thule or yakima basic bar (can't remember which) installed on top as well.

Check engine light went on for the past decade for no apparent reason, but now is very accurate because engine is kaput!

much love,
dk

Plus as a little perk, the car still limps down the road on its own power, with a lot of noise as it does so. LOL I drove it about 15 miles to the garage, and they have been running it to bring it in and out of the yard, but it may die at any second.

If you part it out let me know, I'd be interested in some stuff.

FYI, you'd better throw out a number, or the mods may delete this thread for lack of price. We try not to do the ebay high bidder thing here on Ih8mud. Also state where the truck can be picked up from so you get some local attention. That sucks what happened to the truck. good luck with the sale

it sold

purposeinc stated and emailed his rules on his private auction and what and how he would email updates for "in" bidders but did not follow up with updated emails with the highest bid but one time to give me another opportunity to bid higher. I upped my bid and was under the impression I had the highest bid and find out today I did not.
