Driver side power window was needing help to close when it finally gave up the ghost an inch from closing all the way. No amount of manual help would get it to budge. Duct tape and weather stripping are keeping the rain out, but my question(s) is: Is it possible to manually raise the window the extra inch to close it all the way OR how to reach the regulator when it is so far up in the door frame OR is it possible to lower the regulator manually back down so I can reach it. Not a desperate situation, but eventually need to get this taken care of and the one mechanic in town is clueless. Thanks!

Mine did the same thing. I disassembled the door panel, cleaned the contacts, lubed the tracks and it went back to fully functional.

I've had two windows do something similar. The DS front window had a tooth go bad in the regulator. I was able to manually clear this one. Then the PS rear window lift mechanism had an issue. This one sounds just like what you are describing. I had to remove the door panel and then clean, grease, and reassemble the lift mechanism.

Both are simple repairs and should take no longer than maybe 30 minutes max. After 20+ years, things shift around and no longer line up quite right. Just take your time so it doesn't turn into more of an issue.

Let me know if you need parts. I've got a regulator, motor and window run that will fix you up. All parts are new OEM in factory packaging Tried posting more pics but I could only get 2 to come up. PM me if interested. IMG_5580.JPG IMG_5581.JPG
