Tomorrow I am going to get some new tires put on my LC, and I'd like to know the factory specced torque for lug nuts going on a 15" aluminum wheel. I had some issues this afternoon with some of the studs on our van shearing off, and I suspect the nuts were severly overtightened. Thanks!

Search will reveal all.

Let me search that for you....

From CruiserDan back in 2006,
"....Depends on the year.

94 and prior, with conical steel inserts are 109 lb-ft.

95-up with shank lugs are 76 lb-ft."

Thanks for the help. I searched pretty thoroughly, I thought, through the site and FSM, but could not find what I needed. The owner's manual is with the LC at the shop, so I couldn't look there tonight. So 109 lb-ft for all pre '94 80's. There.

It should also be in the Owner's Manual.
