Body is in descent shape with some work on the front end. It cranked up and ran and I drove it on the trailer. The brakes did work but were spongy. PS was not working but could just be out of fluid. Wiring is probably a mess as the panel was pulled away when the stereo was stolen. Tires are good 31X10.50.

Patrick i'll be there tomorrow for the parts I pm'd you about. I'll meet up with Jerry.

Do 80 rims fit on a 40? If you don't have a taker, I might take them...

Yes they do. Want those powder coated also??? If you paypal him I can take them back with me.

How much for the wheels? I also just found out I need a low beam light socket, if Al can grab me one from either of the trucks he's getting parts from.

Yep that was the one on the COSCOM side that I left a note on. Why doesn't anyone every respond. To bad for his deployment...he probably could have fixed that one up enough to take it out on the trails. Glad it is helping keep other club rigs in tip top shape though.

Got back a while ago from raping the FJ80 of its top end. I'm so glad Al and his bud John were there also, otherwise, Patrick might have been kicking me out and I'd be going back for a second trip to get it all done.

But, to bump this for Patrick, if you've got a need for doors, hood, glass, rear hatch as well as many other misc things, you need to get in touch with him. The sheet metal is in nice shape, worth having around for spares for those who wheel their 80's hard.

I'd imagine it won't be at his house long and it would be sad to see some of the good parts to "the yard"...

Ditto.
Patrick thanks for the hospitality, beer and good price on much needed parts.
Jerry, my pleasure to lend you a hand and some knowledge on the 3FE..... I still can't believe how big of a pain that wiring harness was. Not much drama though just some busted knuckles. Thanks for the grub at the end of it by the way.

That rig has some great panels ready for the picking. The more I think about it the more I might go back out for some spare doors and panels. :grinpimp:

I have the much sort after battery tray for anyone wanting to do a dual set up.

He actually did post up on this forum back in september.

Hey Jerry. Andrea:princess: is now wanting me to invest in good mechanix gloves. She says she is tired of me going wrenching with everyone and comming back with have the skin on my fingers missing. ;p

I tore off some skin on the back of my hand also, not nearly as bad as you did though. I have such dry skin that my hands get really messed up if I don't keep them covered somehow. I'd offered you some of what I had but you'd probably only be able to get two fingers in the Mediums I use.

I like using the nitrile gloves for most work because I can feel things better with them. And, they don't absorb oil/fluids like the "mechanics" gloves. I convert to the heavier mechanics gloves when I have to do grinding or other work where I don't have to worry about messing with little things.

But, I'm sure you know all that and what really matters most, keeping the :princess: happy...

I've always wore them with pride.... I guess no more, but I don't do near the amount of wrenching I used to do and it never bothered her before. Oh well

I do have a chiped knuckle bone from a wrenching experience and a permnament black mark on the knuckle from it.

I thought I saw your FJ going southbound on 1. I figured you were on your way to get parts off the 80.

ill take the tray al if it hasnt already been spoken for. i can get it when i get the other parts from you.

Sure, just set a price with Patrick and then you can have it.

It does have a rip in the bottom of it but didn't effect the battery that was sitting in there.

I'll take a picture and send it to you.

Must have been. We didn't get away from there until after 6, way longer than I expected. I appreciated Patrick and his family for accommodating us on a day that I'm sure they would have rather been doing most anything else...
