Anyone have the bracket that holds the gas pedal to the firewall on a 9/72 FJ40? I need that and possibly the spring (though I have an incorrect gas pedal whose spring would probably also work).

Thanks in advance!

Would a '74 pedal work?

Are the bolts that secure it to the firewall next to each other, or is one above the other? My truck has one mounting point above the other one, and the spare pedal I have is the other type.

Thanks!

The pedal I have has one bolt over the other. Around 4" apart.

The 9/72 pedal is for a throtttle cable.

74-later is a mechanical linkage, with the pedal poking through the firewall to connect to pushrod in engine bay.

IIRC, shaggy needs a 69-73 pedal assembly.

Thanks Jim.

My '74 pedal won't work.

Best of luck.

What I need is a brain! I mixed up what I have and what I need. What I need is the one with the mounting holes next to each other; what I have currently is the one with one mounting hole above the other.

But you're right, I do need one for a cable-type throttle. Thanks for the clarification!
