I did a compression check on the motor tonight. I got 120 on 1,2,5,and 6. 3 and 4 had 90. This was done cold and the rig has not been run in a couple months. I ran the motor for about 60 seconds and tested 4 again and got 120. Not sure what is normal or acceptable for a 3FE.

Thanks for doing the compression test. 170 is good, 140 is okay to good, 120 is just okay, 90 not so good and the variance should not be more than 10%. Let me talk to a mechanic friend and get back to you. I really appreciate your honesty.

Got a quote from NPT to ship the trans/transfer to SanDiego. $308 to a business address with a dock. $378 to a residential address. This is based on 350# for parts, pallet and packing.
