I am moving tomorrow across country and my dad just told me there was a cut in one of the belts (i am at work right now) could someone please tell me what the 3 belts are connected to so i can figure out which one and what will happen if it fails?

Wouldn't it be easiest to look at them yourself?

One is power steering, one is AC, one is water pump/alternator.

if one has a cut, change it now.

there was a thread on this not long ago, but i believe they are:

smog/idler/ps/idler/crank

alt/crank/water pump

ac/idler/crank

might be good to pick up a spare, if you can find one in stock somewhere. your biggest worry would obviously be the alt/crank/water pump.

good luck.

awsome thanks guys. yeah it would be easiest to look but today is my last day at work so i'm running around here cleaning everything up and making sure its all set. I had the alt/water one replaced already i think the one with the cut is the power steering so if that goes it will just be a bitch instead of totaly stoping me right?

Yes, you can still drive, but it'll be a real pain.
I think it would be a very good idea to carry a spare set. If the belt has a cut, it could from something different than wear and tear, and be any of the belts. without the cooling and charging sytem you won't go far.
