Reality is setting in and my plans to do what needs to be done to this FJ62 have fallen prey to other projects; especially since I purchased another FJ62 to replace it. Thought one of you might be interested before I post locally.

We purchased this FJ62 in May of ’05 with a little over 244K miles on it. The PO said she had the engine rebuilt about 40K miles ago (around 200K). It now has a bit over 257K and still runs strong. However, it does need some TLC.

Mechanically, it needs some exhaust work and an O2 sensor, I believe. It could also use pan and side cover gaskets; it leaks some oil. The temperature was running a bit high when parked in traffic for a while. I think it needs a fan clutch. I think everything else is in good working order. It had a new radiator we I got it and has new Toyota wheels and tires (but needs a ¾ in. spacer to be road worthy). Brakes, e-brake, lights, wipers (needs driver side blade), heater, power windows, mirrors and locks (sometimes stick) are all good. It did not have an A/C condenser on it when I got it; I have one that goes with it. Automatic transmission and 4 wheel drive work fine.

Body: It has rust in the usual expected areas. However, I do not see any areas on the frame that are materially compromised. The quarters, rockers, lower tailgate, and part of the doors are not pretty.

Interior: All the gauges, lights and radio work. Dash has a major boo-boo by the radio speaker. Could you a driver’s seat cover. Other seats are fine, just a bit stained, but clean; carpet is OK. Rear compartment has no carpet. Headliner is good.

I believe this FJ62 has a lot of life left in it. As mentioned it runs strong and drives good.

$2,000 or make a reasonable offer.
