All new steel and 5052 H32 aluminum body designed by TLC.......

:whoops: I didn't see that part ouchhh you are right about that. But the frame was original except slightly modified, so that part is doable, I thought there were companies that made new steel and aluminum bodies for the 40's??

Well with that amount of money you could do anything you needed, you have to think they mark it up @ least 50% or all of that time and money would go to waste, it tis custom. I still think it's a beautiful rig, if I was rich biatchhhh i would purchase one:cheers:

I agree that the price is waaaay to rich for my blood and if it were my company, I'd use a Toy V8, but yes they're deffinately a work of art.

my .02

I hate that thing. It's not a Land Cruiser. It's got antiquated suspension and no hard top. Other than the frame very very little is Toyota. It just shows to go ya that there are a lot of stupid rich people out there. TLC builds some awesome stuff (a double cab FJ45 pickup they built is a personal favorite) but the Icon is just dumb. For the money you could have a super sweet FJ40 trail rig, a aluminum trailer, and a new Tundra CrewMax 4x4. And STILL have money left over!

I agree!! The suspension is not that different from mine.......after I put about 3k into it and they only did a 350 conversion (although a little higher class than most i've seen). As far as the rest of the mods I didn't see anything overly impressive (aside from the recreation of the body which imo was completely unneccesary). I applaud them for building on the FJ40 and they did a fantastic job but $88,000 you have got to kidding me.
