86 LJ 70 no turbo with 2l-2t with no computer question

I have an 86 LJ that needs an engine or rebuild. Anyway, there is a great deal on a 2l-2te in the classified. The seller notes that the Computer is missing. Can you make this motor work without the computer with the old wiring from the 86 LJ 2l non turbo?

I think you would need the 2L injection pump or be able to modify the 2L TE injection pump to work without a computer if that's possible.
Thats assuming they use the same cams etc

The two motors are quite different. A lot of things besides electronics changed between the early (original) 2LT and the 2LTE. @Dprio34
