bj60

hey i see your parting out a bj60?
Any chance you'd be willing to part with the power steering reservoir, the mount its on, and the related pulleys?

What kind of shape is the body in? I just bought a '85 bj70 from the coast and brought it back to Saskatchewan. How about the interior? I would be interested if there are enough quality goodies left on it. Let me know. Jason

Hey Marvin, any idea if your man from Lumby is planning on parting it out, or restoring it? I am the guy that emailed you on this through Kijiji, if he is going to part it out and he ends up buying it from you could you pass along my email address to him? Many thanks.

Ross

Lumby Man

Hi

I'm the guy from Lumby. If it checks out to an acceptable level of potential operation:rolleyes:, I will be putting a spare (fresher) 82 3b with 180,000 km in it (if it needs it), and if the tranny needs replacing I'll try and source a local h55f, or put in the 4 speed from my 82 (for the time being), I also have a spare h55f core that has a good spline input shaft.... Is that all that needs replacing Marvin?

Looks like I won't be getting out there till thursday afternoon. I have my exam tomorrow. I mentioned the Corolla alltrac (89) as an option for trade, or would your daughter be interested in a 86 4runner with 22re and five speed? not a rust bucket (body), clean interior (no rips in the seats), frame is straight, but has the usual inner rear troubles (I would say plate the inside within two years). Food for thought. Talk to you soon.

Ross (1985bj70), If I decide buy it and part it out I'll keep you in mind, i'll be keeping doors, fenders, hood, and rear doors for my bj74 (it needs spares). Or swapping all the left hand drive stuff into the bj74 (potentially a massive project, but probably doable).

cheers

Thanks foe the update Rustybones, appreciate that! Do you have any pics of your BJ74? Cheers.

BJ70 deposit

I got a deposit in towards the bj70 today. Its going to be a trip with this thing. It definitely needs work..... if I give up on it, I'll surely part it out, hate to do that though.

PS Marvin is a toyota guru and has a yard he needs to clear out. I saw a bj42 that he wants to sell. A bj60, multiple toyota pickups, and tons of parts. Write him.
