Pains me deeply, but think it is time to sell one of my pride and joys. Other projects are taking priority.
It's a 1982 Toyota Pickup. It's built, it has redneck patina, and it's ton's of fun!
The good:
19-21 mpg on 33.5" tires. Not sure of any other truck that can do that.
Tires are 75% rear, 50% front
Brakes are all new and tight (front disc/rear drum. Took out stock proportioning valve and has been revamped. Brakes work better than they ever did new)
FACTORY Power Steering
FACTORY AC was ice cold this last summer...switch is starting to act up. I think it's R-12 b/c I've never serviced
upgraded to bench seat with three seat belts
lifted (don't know what brand)
Lockers front and rear
5.29 gears in rear to compensate for tires
Birfield Eliminator axles on the front
Recent front axle rebuild
Recent axle maintenance
New hoses/belts
Fluidectomy
Cobra CB
optional truckbox
stock 22r (206k, but motor supposedly has 36k since rebuild)
frame is in great shape--can take pics or video if needed. My previous mini had insane frame rust. This one is one of the best I've ever seen. Truck came from Alabama.
Rear bumper with reciever. Four plug wiring if you pull something small.
Comes with original manual
The bad:
Windshield seal leaks a little in hard rains. It's been garaged, and I always thought I'd get a broken windshield and would fix it later, but the glass is in great shape with no chips/cracks.
Has some dents from trail rash. (chicks dig scars)
Only rust is along driver's side seam...just a couple tiny holes...no bigger than a nickel--It's surprisingly solid.
cracked dash
Tachometer works 75% of the time. Loose connection somewhere I haven't tracked down.
couple small tears on seat driver's side.
Stereo sucks (missing an antennae, but front speakers are decent) Original stereo is above a JVC...a Scion or larger radio would go in nicely.
Video tour of it is at: http://tinyurl.com/minitruck
Price is $3100 obo.
Having issues with pics...have some posted here:
