So I started out with an 81 soa wagon I bought for beatin around.

It has an h41 tranny
3b
soa
4.88/ lockers
35"MTRs
1ton chev Hysteer
custom dents,rust and scratches

I then got an 83 Bj60
strong 3b
factory ps
5spd
ghetto soa

And my 87 Hj61. If it sells in parts I hope to keep the rear FF, Front bucket seats(with turbo stiching) and maybe the pto

I also Have a turbo+intercooler form a previous truck i wrecked.

Put that all to gether add some sliders, decent bumpers and Its good to go.

So Dan I take it that the 83 is the rig your building for Expeditions and your 74FJ40 is going to be your trail beater rig. What is you plan for the expo rig and where do you plan to go on expedition?

Ya John, thats right. The fj40 will be the crawler/rock rig The 83 wagon will be the expo/camping rig. Where do I want to go? ANywhere you and everyone else isnt

So the 83 will have the 81's better soa with low gears and lockers but keeping the 5spd, and adding the home built turbo setup and intercooler? Should get you places.
Why not build the HJ61 instead of parting it out?

the HJ is funding the poject Plus I HATE autos. its ok for the road, But for a trail truck i would go crazy. Ill have an extra 3b kicking around so when I crank to boost up to 15-18 and blow up my motor I have a spare
