I have 2 fiberglass/MDF enclosures that I am selling. I made one of these for my truck and it makes amazing bass without sacrificing rear cargo space. This is the original thread:

Now for full disclosure and a warning. This is not a plug and play solution. It is a custom enclosure that should really be made by a qualified shop specifically for your truck so the fit and finish can be what it needs to be. In my case I didn't have an audio shop close to me that I felt could deliver what I wanted with out having to sell an organ.

For those that are not afraid of little fabbing and a little cutting you can have a 1 cubic foot + enclosure that will allow whatever nice sub you have in mind reach those low notes you love to feel. I run about 300 watts to mine and it is super solid and sounds amazing. I am using an Exile Audio XT12.

To give you an idea of what will have to be done:

- remove the rear quarter panel plastic cover
- cut out the rear pocket cubby and ash tray
- cut the top most stud down to the bolt for flare, this will not affect the flare at all, you are just cutting the extra stud that the nut isn't using
- move sunroof drain tube back towards the body, again not affecting anything
- put some dynamat or what ever sound deadning material on sheet metal
- install enclosure with your sub of choice
- remove red clips from bottom of plastic cover, rest of the clips can stay
- install cover and turn up the volume

This is not a conclusive list, I just want to give you an idea of what needs to be done and scare away anyone that wants plug and play. The plastic cover may or may not fit depending on what subwoofer is used. A subwoofer with a long throw might hit the plastic cover. Some trial and error will have to be done and a hole may have to be cut like I did in my thread above.

Now for pics.

Planning on google sketch up

The 2 enclosures I have are half way done and will be finished according to what the buyer wants.

I can deliver just the fiberglass and MDF ring ready for a baffle or a fully glued and screwed enclosure with wire run, and a spacer ring for a big woofer....and anything in between.

Price:

$200 for the simplest glass and MDF ring seen in pic #3 plus shipping.

$300 for a fully built enclosure built to fit your sub including a spacer ring if needed...plus shipping.

For something in between we can talk and work out the price.

Right now I only have 2 but plan on building more depending on how these sell. If you are interested please contact me via PM and I will shoot you my email and phone # so we can talk about what you would like delivered.

Questions from PMs will be posted and answered here:

Hey *******, unfortunately if you look at my build thread you can see I already cut up my plastic cover and modified it with a fiberglass cover. I don't really know if it will fit over the enclosure with a big sub. The only way to tell would be to mount it to a stock truck. Right now it does fit under my cover without a sub, with a small throw sub it will probably fit but I would need to confirm that.

As far as vibrations, you can always fix that with sound deadening material like dynamat or hushmat which should be done anyways. My plastic piece doesn't have any on it but the sheet metal behind the enclosure does.

My enclosure is such a tight fit that it basically is press fit in. If this is not enough for your truck you can always use metal straps with screws or L bracket bent straight from homedepot or lowes.

Let me know if you have any questions.
