80-Series over the frame exhaust mod (1 Viewer)

Anyone re-routed their 80 exhaust over the frame? Body lift required? I think it's just the '95-'97s that have their post-cat exhaust routed this way. It is not conducive to rock crawling or offroading in general. My exhaust is pretty smashed up where it loops under the frame. I keep busting spring hangers also. Thinking about ditching the gargantuan stock muffler for something smaller, but don't want anything much louder than stock. I love the guys at 3 Star, but they said it couldn't be done. Not sure if Ape will touch it because I have a straight pipe welded in where the cat used to be.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

I can't remember Jay's exhaust being under frame...seems like it wasn't. Anyway, wonder if you could use the piece from a 93-94?

If anyone could do it, it would be Jason at APE. Between all the 80's he owns and all the ones he wheels with, he ought to be able to figure it out.
