No, but may not be a bad idea, might have to fab some brackets for the seats, and if you want the power options to work you'll have to wire for it. the console probably won't fit without some modificationand it might all be to wide if you try to use the seats and the console. Not sure if the passenger seat would have enough clearance for the underseat heater. but all in all it would be pretty sweet to have power leateher seats in a 60, (they may not be leather depending on the year.) If you have the interior mock it up. Or if you need some measurements let me know, I have an 80 and a 60 i could at least measure it and see if it would all fit.

ill keep that in mind thanks...maybe this thread will motivate someone to do it

TLCA did, it was at SEMA, UNBELIEVEABLE conversion. looked gorgeous..

man thats nice...i just dont know if i would want to get into my ride with mud all over me...if i did that to my truck, i think i would just sit and look at it all day.

i think it was close to $80,000

I think it was around that much... dam!!

I know some other guys on the board have done the seat swap. I think it would be a sweet! conversion. Have been thiking of it for a while. Anyone know if there has been a writeup????

Yeah, a while back there was an 87 "60" on ebay that had an 80's frame, suspension, drivetrain, interior etc. It was soo sweet. Looked like a slightly lifted 60 from the outside, yet looked exactly like an 80 on the inside, underneith, and under the hood (except it had a supercharger) -----yeah it was nice. I will have one made for me the day I have an extra $50,000 laying around....

that one with the white seats is hideous! White interior serves one purpose. Car show. Other than that it is just asking to get stained.

I wouldn't mine 80 series seats thats for sure. Including the 3rd row. I kinda dig my 62 dash though, so I woudl want to keep it.

The FJ60 above with the 80 interior was listed at $88,000... I remember looking at it, at TLC. They'd repainted it a color they called sage green.

That's what TLC does though...gorgeous work, at a premium. The new TLC Icon, for example, starts at $80,000.

And here I am, wishing my 60 was more like the Pig I owned or the 40 I had. More steel in the interior, less carpet.

When I sold my old FJ40 in 1985, I wnet to the dealership to buy another one. They said that the 40 was no longer imported, and that I should buy a brand new FJ60. I looked at one and was astounded that it had CARPETING!

"How do your wash this thing out?" I asked the sales guy.

"Wash it out?, you use a vacuum." he sez.

"Hmmm". I could see the mall cruisers coming, even then. Ended up with a 60 anyway. and have not regretted it.

Now I'm going to try an 80 series. Anybody got a LHD HZJ81 for sale?
