Are there any 80's in the mobile/baldwin area that have a dc front shaft on them. If so, did it fix your vibration and may I slap it into mine and see if it fixes it?

Have you removed your front DS to see if that's what is causing the issue? You'd need to move your hazard button over to the "CDL" position to engage your CDL for it to work in 2WD. But it works.

yes i did. Just trying to figure out if it is the front ujoints or the need for a cv.

buy the $15 u-joints from oreilly's. They fit the front. I've always liked them, and they have helped 4" lifted trucks I've helped with in the past.... but not replacement solution for a DC shaft... that will definitely work.

I looked under the truck at the pinion angle and noticed that is was pretty much pointed straight at the transfercase flange. I put a 30 mil. spacer on the front that I had and now it is perfect. Bought a tacoma dc driveshaft and had it cut down and now no vibration.
Good to hear. What year tacoma did you get the shaft from? the flanges match?

used a 2001 extended cab 4x4 with a 6 cyl. and 5 speed. Had it cut down to 31 inches compressed and balanced.
