79 fj40 light problems

[new mexico fj40]

I'm new here and i could really use some help. I have parking lights marker lights and turn signals but no headlights. I have tryed replacing the turn signal switch. I also pulled all the fuses and cleaned the fuse block with emery cloth then i did the same to the switch and it worked for two days now im at a loss. I don't know what els to try any ideas?? There are a large number of threads here on this subject. Now is as good a time as any to familiarize yourself with the search function on Mud. I suggest using the advance search function and narrow your search to the 40's section. You will find the answer to your question.

If you cleaned the switch and then it worked for awhile i would suppect the switch

I know its silly, but i had a similar problem and it turned out to just be a loose plug on the back of the switch...
