I am looking for a comple FJ40 OEM PTO winch linkage shaft and shifter. Must be for 79-84 FJ40 with split transfer case, this is the single gear PTO gearbox version. Please let me know what you have.

Cable system from a pre 10/82 will not work. Not only was the 40 series PTO a two direction the lever that controlled it was on the back side of the PTO. One from a 60 or 70 series with a four speed would work. Those were single direction. If you check in the Winching recovery section you find a nine page thread on PTO driveline for a 40 series. That thread shows how to make your own driveline and shift lever. The PTO the original poster used was the same single direction as yours.
