I have a used fuel tank for sale, removed from my 78 FJ40, $50 + shipping.
Has some small surface rust areas inside, which could be cleaned with muriatic acid.
I had removed the tank to work on my rear main seal and left it sitting open for about six months in my garage. I guess condensation produced small amounts of rust inside. Tank had no problems before I removed it. No holes or anything else. I did not want to deal with cleaning the tank.
It’s the original metal tank that holds 16 gals.
During my restoration I put in a brand new fuel system. From tank to carb everything was exchanged.
