1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser with 92,xxx miles that was garaged in a California desert community from 1990-2005. At that time a family member had started some restoration which involved putting the smog equipment back on to pass California smog standard but stopped due to illness. I took over the vehicle in late 2005, I put it on a trailer and brought the vehicle to my home in Orange County California. Due to no time to install the smog equipment my self, I took the vehicle to Jim Dickey automotive in Gardena California who specializes in Land cruisers to have the smog equipment reinstalled at the cost of $2000.00. He verified that it passed California smog emissions. During the time of the repairs I was relocated to Tennessee. The vehicle was shipped to me after the repairs were completed and registered here in Tennessee where it easily passed smog emissions. The body is in great shape, no diamond plate anywhere. It has very little rust and drives great. I have service manuals including owners manual. There are also many spare maintenance parts that were brought with vehicle. Along with having a hard top there is a soft top for it that can be restored and installed. This Cruiser is good condition and has low mileage for 1977. I have a clear title with up to date Tennessee registration. The tires were replaced with BF Goodrich 31X10.50 15 tires, replaced all door weather strips as well as side vent seals. All the gear oils have been changed and the front wheel bearings packed. I replaced the rear brakes recently too. This vehicle is a very fun vehicle to drive even in the cold due to having front and rear heaters. At times have second thoughts on selling it but I am more into hot rods and want to stick with them. I am asking $11,500.00 or best offer. I can be reached after 6 PM or between 7 and 8AM, week days, weekends would be in and out but checking messages at 615-220-9566. Ask for Ed. I can e-mail more pictures upon request. Thanks for looking.
