Did someone say smoked meats?

I just received a care package from somewhere in Texas, nothing like a 5lb brisket and 10 jalapeño cheddar sausages from Terry Blacks sitting at the gate.

Epic care package….I’d go straight up Neanderthal on that brisket.

We ponied up at work and ordered some smoked meats to have a lunch for those of use that have been deemed essential. It's been dubbed "Furlough Feast 2025". I intentionally didn't include any of our supervisors on the invitation.

The best times at work are when the inmates get to run the asylum…🥃

@GA Architect

My care package arrived today by way of Atlanta Ga. Vapor barrier/dust shield(s) for the front doors. Authentic hand cut and punched for accuracy and LC credibility…Get yours while supplies last.

Butyl tape or 3M 🤔.

Many thanks Amigo.

Butyl tape worked great for me on the vapor barriers I got from @GA Architect

I’m leaning that direction.

I like that it will stay tacky even after the ham fisted mangling I’m likely to inflict on it. Did you mark your doors pre butyl application or give it a calibrated eyeball?

Your door hardware, as does your LC, looks 1st rate.🏆

Hot glue

Chewed up bubble gum

Big ole wad of chaw

Or butyl tape.....depends on how West by God Virginia we're talking here.

It took me so long to remove the original butyl mess, I swore I wasn't putting that back on mine, so I used the 3M tape. None the less, it is your choice, either should work just fine.

Thanks, first crank on the motor may happen tomorrow. Exciting times for me 😁.

I did mark with a dry erase marker the path I wanted to follow for the tape before I stuck It down. Don't do like I did though and draw the wrong path! 😭 Top left section in the pic above was too high on the upper edge. I had to remove and re-stick - NOT fun! I'd use it again but I would be more careful of the path like I did on the 2nd door!
:) .

Valid counterpoint. But, this could be my magnum opus as an aspiring PO.

Big ole gum wad dose of butyl tape and super glue spread Willy-Nilly over half the door. The bitter sweat of LC ownership dripping into the innocent eyes of a new owner as he bangs his shins on the rear hitch and does the stiff legged anger shuffle towards the passenger door. Flush faced and gesturing wildly with his arms he yells “What kind of sick, twisted sadist would use &$#@%&$ butyl tape and &$#@%&$ super glue on the vapor barrier? PO that’s who.

Frank Zappa’s “The Torture Never Stops” wafts through the garage as the new owner curls up in the fetal position under the front bumper and whimpers weakly “stooopid Mule”.

Fade to black….

Banging my shin on the trailer hitch with the stiff legged shuffle…. Holy cow that hits a nerve. Maybe 6 times the first year

My old wheeling buddy's stock bumper story was worse. Much worse.

He was giving his swb45 a mini tuneup in his hillside garage, with the ass end hanging out the door to vent the exhaust, and his driveway had a pretty steep slope. Well, his parking brake wasn't 100%, and he suddenly realized that the truck was starting to roll! He instinctively grabbed for the front bib, just in time for the open hood to catch on the garage door and come crashing down!😱

The hand injury would have been worse, but as the truck continued to roll back, the protruding end of the front bumper caught the back of his leg and took him off his feet.
As he fell, he watched his beloved FJ45 accelerate to launch speed, cross the street in front of his house, handily jump the curb across the street, take out his neighbors fence and shrubs, and try to burrow under the staircase of their house!😱
