Dylan went electric in 66, I figured WTH, why not. 😎

I can turn my 285’s easily in the driveway, parking lot or Tasty freeze with no effort or I can spin the dial back for road use. Coupled with 3:70 gearing, the mighty 2F and 285 tires, it functions well in the “slow lane” during short bouts of white knuckled interstate roulette. It really shines on curvy secondary two Lane roads.

It turns so easily, I had a slight learning curve with the sensitivity until I learned to adjust it as necessary. Unless you count the WV secondary road network, I can’t testify to its nature in serious off road conditions.

I’m a towering 5’9” and the motor mounted just under the steering wheel is a non event. I don’t notice it.

Some of the selling points for me was the fact it reverts back to stock steering if the electric motor takes a dump. Also, it’s less invasive compared to adding a traditional power steering mod.

One last caveat: I’m turning 60+ pound Falklan’s on 16” rims. I don’t know what kind of manners the system has with smaller traditional tires on 15’s or anything above a 33”.

So, unless you’re planning on rock crawling, HARD wheeling or crossing the Darién Gap, I think you will like driving behind EPS.

BLUF: Worth the asking price/Money well spent.

YMMV 🍻

I don’t think you’ll regret it. But, if for some unknown reason you decide I misled you, stop by the Meade Hall next summer/fall/winter and I’ll buy you a beverage(s) just to make it right….😎

Thanks! Added to the Christmas list.

@Chungas Revenge, does the eps retain the center steering box located in the front corner of the frame and subsequently the steering arm bracket below where the steering stabilizer is attached to it?

EDIT; damn auto-correct

The EPS replaces the steering column and retains everything from the box forward.

Thanks @Jdc1 …. I have the parts…. I really just want to add the steering stabilizer

Thanks for the assist. I was out of the net on a noble endeavor. Cleaning the O/U for a Tuesday hunt in OH..😁

@knuckle47

You retain your SS.

2nd pic “north” of the box.

Does the invite apply only if I feel misled? :)

Well no, no it doesn’t.

But I don’t expect indoor plumbing until late summer/early fall. 20yrs or so without it, only adding it now due to a rash of “crop circles” that popped up just off the back deck. 😁

Sounds like good advice… my Saginaw steering was inherited and was poorly setup…. I NEVER cared for it…Jesse made it great but the taste of its previous actions ….lingers occasionally and I get steered off course

Are they crop circles or buck scrapes?

I hope/wish they were.

My home county (Wood) is directly across from Washington Co OH. That seems to be ground zero for EHD. Wood and Washington were hit pretty hard. EHD this year, CWD last year, I hope they run out of alphabet before next season. 💩👈🏻

I hunt one county over in Ritchie. Some documented EHD cases but mostly sporadic in the Eastern portion of the county.

I have very good sign, all within 100yds of the old man Cadillac stand.

Well, I’ll beat a dead horse..”If it ain’t broke (now), don’t fix it”.

I’ve been sitting on a Sniper kit for almost three years. “Jim” massaged my 76 carb the last go round and it starts and runs like a top (please no jinx 😳). Gonna’ let that box marked Holley sit for the time being.

2.0 and I were on patio furniture duty this AM. The annual push to stow everything in the BG before the temps dip and the snow flies commenced promptly at 0900.

I did most of the heavy lifting while 2.0 sipped on a high octane latte’ and idled along at 600RPM in the side yard.

Part of my treaty/agreement for the triumphal return to the BG was I had to integrate (neatly 🙄) the Mule with all of the patio furniture into Bay #2.

It’s like a reoccurring puzzle every year. A lesser man would simply snap a picture and use it as a guide from year to year. I on the other hand, prefer to start from scratch each fall while the Dark One is off somewhere flexing her credit score. Don’t get me wrong, I surely appreciate her uninterrupted suggestions and recommendations but, I use this late season puzzle as an early warning dementia test.

If, after an hour or so of arranging, rearranging and rearranging the previously arranged, I loose interest and wander off to the P-burg Brewing Company, I know that my ability to prioritize and problem solve real world situations is probably similar to that of a 12yr old boy. You ever hear of a 12yr old boy with dementia? I figure it’s my duty to stay sharp, old age is not for the timid.

MC-RTB 🍻👈🏻😎

Absolutely perfect, and I threatened a set of those early on. I changed my mind when I figured the purchase may forestall Ms Revenge’s “new idea” for a bldg.. I wouldn’t want to crush her creativity. She works so hard for these notions. 😁

Jeff,

Your posts are prose.
When I read them, I sense that I am actually consuming unincluded content from Letters From The Earth (by an author I feel you probably know quite well. And if you don’t…).

Your brain is appreciated.

an author I feel you probably know quite well.

I just gave the complete works, 3rd printing to a friend’s young son.

Wasn’t my idea. Ms Revenge came to the hard won understanding that these books were giving me peculiar ideas. So I figured it would be a good idea to pass them along in the hopes that the books might have the same profound affect on him as they had on me.

His father, although agreeable, made me promise not to tell the boy's mother. Something about her worries he may forgo his academic aspirations after reading them and take up full time adventuring or aimless wandering.

Not wanting to overtly arouse her suspicions, I reluctantly agreed on condition he and his son make the trek to The Land of Nod and help me move the raft I built in the storage building. It’s a big raft…Probably see it in the MUD classifieds soon.

Pic below. He’s the one on the left. 😁

Judging by the grin on his face, his mother may be three or four volumes too late.
