76/78/79 Series Measurement, Please.

Hood/bonnet width at the front is 1406mm or about 55 3/8". That was run under the bonnet from point to point.

I eyed it and ran the tape along the bull bar and came up with 144.5
It's was a new hdj78 4.5 troopy and I didn't want to run the tape along/ around the front off his bonnet.

I'm trying to figure out where the 5 5/16" per side went, from old to new....

Still trying to address fender wells on the 73, without spending the fortune it costs for the 79 front clip.

My thinking that the lower portion of the newer fender might be grafted to the older upper cowl, but be a bit short without getting into a lot of work.

Or, more simply, cutting this
