I currently have a set of 16 inch wheels on the truck (similar to these Toyota 4Runner 2000 16 - https://www.autorimshop.com/toyota-4runner-2000-16-oem-wheel-rim-226267.html), but they need to be replaced. They are beat up and I don't really care for them. I can get my hands on fj cruiser steel rims pretty cheap and easy here. I like the look, would these work for my truck? Toyota FJ Cruiser 2008 17 - https://www.autorimshop.com/catalog/product/view/id/21864/s/toyota-fj-cruiser-2008-17-wheel-rim-69504/

If so what size tire should I be running, I don't want huge. More on road than off in the foreseeable future.

I am running 235/80r 17 Michelin ltx a/t2 on those same type rims. pics in history. truck now has about a 2 inch lift, so they look a little small.

don't remember if i had spacers or not, bought some just in case, but not sure if we put them on.

16" is OEM, I believe, so the 17" FJ rims could be a bit big. I have 16" rims with 265/75 tires - this seems to be the Australian standard. I've also seen 255/85R16 (larger diameter). I tried searching for threads regarding 6-lug steelies but didn't get very far - sorry. :-(
