land of enchantment, at least for now
I have a 45 troopy modified with an H55f and an LX rear axle from Australia so the parking brake is on the wheels instead of the transfer case. I'm thinking a parking brake cable from a 75 lwb/troopy would work for this application.

I assume the cable mounts to the lever the same way it does in 40s and 60s, can anyone confirm? I found wheelbase of 125" for utes and 117" for troopies looking online. My troopy is 116", but it looks like the lever mounts farther back (between the seats rather than in front of them) in the 75s, so a ute cable might be better.

Can anyone measure the cable from the lever housing to the axle housing mount on their ute or troopy? Anyone have any first-hand knowledge of this swap?

Thanks!

The 79 series will have a longer cable than the 75, I read on another forum that a bloke lifted his 78 series troopy and used a 79 series cable or something as there the longest
I can measure the lenghth of my 79 series tommorow if you like

Yes, cable in HJ75 mounts to lever the same as 40/60 series.

I have a cable coming from AU, not sure if it's from a 75, 78 or 79 ute. 75 troopies are apparently a little shorter than the utes and I was afraid it might be a tad too short. Now that I already am committed to this one, I think it is going to be about a foot longer than I need, but that's better than too short. I'll know when it gets here!

Thanks for the info.
