Found this buried in the back of my in-laws garage. Gonna detail it up and help them sell. And yes they have the Bezal upside down. I'll fix LOL
They are 2nd owners, they had Roll cage installed and the restored floor is rhino lined for protection. They drove it over this morning. Send new pics tomorrow during cleaning for opinion. Thx

That's what I was wondering. Congratulations, nice original truck. I think it's a smart move to pay a little more and not have to do the body work, that's such a pain. Let me know if you have a shop that you would trust with that truck, I hope to have mine up there soon.

I'm capable of most mechanical and machining work, was a toolmaker and then mechanical engineer, but body work is not something I'm interested in or good at from previous attempts. I am not a welder and do not own any welding equipment and don't want to invest in any. I cannot paint or own or invest in any painting equipment. That leaves me at the mercy of body and paint shops and those small rust holes have a way of growing and growing and the man hours grow.

I admire the guys that do the frame off, ground up restore. They spend countless hours searching for parts, fabricating, assembling and they have the satisfaction of knowing that vehicle has their imprint. Maybe if I was younger I'd consider that route and work on the additional skills needed to finish a vehicle.

I have the funds so I choose to pay up front and have what I want now. I'm retired so the vehicle and that dog in my avatar will get familiar with the back roads of N.W. Michigan. My wife will learn a 3 speed without syncro 1st on the floor.

Thanks, ed

10-4 on buying a rig that does not need much. I don't know if I will be able to get my little lady to row a stick though!!

@TCEd congrats on the purchase. Looks like a great buy. Also looks like you stuck to your wants list.

After looking for a long time I caved and bought made an impulse buy (buy)--- it's working out --- no rust at all - it does have several gremlins though.

My wife and I love that green. It maybe our favorite color. It's an amazing looking vehicle that looks so good in so many colors. Enjoy yours.

Alan

Beautiful truck. Favorite part is the license plate surround -- it makes me think of the Felix Chevrolet ones that the SoCal lowrider guys love. Old school all the way!
