Need help: Truth or fiction?
Looked over the forum and could not find a post. Is there a difference in the gas tanks in fj40's that were sold in california around 1972 vs Fj's that were sold elsewhere? I would like to find a OEM steel tank for my rig but was told by an old timer to be careful to get a tank for the Calif model as it was altered to accomodate smog requirements in Cal. Other 72 tanks apparently will not fit. (I have a badly collapsed poly tank in it now.)
