Hey all - I was looking at some rates at my bank's web site the other day, and just out of curriousity I checked what they had on their repo list. I found this
http://www.tfecu.org/autos/1971_Toyota_LandCruiser.html
it's a '71 with a 327, Turbo 400 (I think), stock transfercase, spring over, revolver shackels front and rear, Rancho RS9000 shocks, disks in front, PS, holly pro-jection, 38.5" Boggers with semi bald centers and really rusted rims. The Body is really quite clean rust wise. And it has at least one locker and a warn 9,000lb winch. No rear window, and windshield is cracked. I'm pretty sure it's the one that was for sale for quite awhile and ultimately ended up on ebay. A friend talked to the guy there and he sad it wasn't running.
I took about 3 dozen pictures of it over the weekend cause my bro. in Idaho was somewhat interested (we both learned to drive in an fj55). I talked to some lady named Cindy and asked what make offer ment. She said they wanted $2500. I told her that was more than twice what a non-running '71 cruiser was worth. She was sure the winch was worth a grand and so were the tires. Maybe new, but neither is new anymore. She also said they had an offer for $2000 - I told her they should have taken it.
Anyway, it's more than my brother wants to spend on a vehicle 1500 miles away, and I'm already two vehicles over my limit, so I thought I'd pass it on to anyone else who might be interested. Maybe I'll call again in a couple weeks and tell them to let me know when it goes to auction, cause at $2500, I don't see it moving unless they get it running.
