Should the pillow block "pivot" on the mounting bracket? I cinched the long bolt down pretty tight, still moves up and down though. Once the shear pin is in it obviously is more stationary.

The 3rd picture shows my U joints "out of phase", of course I noticed my possible error after installing the shear pin. Thoughts on whether phasing this connection is critical?

Little bit of movement is fine shouldn't hard anything if it just pivots. Wobbling up and down or side to side you don't want. Drivelines U joints out of phase is not a big deal. pTO shaft isn't balanced. These are low RPM compared driveshafts to the diffs. If you haven't already I would clean and grease that are just behind the U joint with the shear pin. Early ones the female spline is long. If these rust they are hard to deal with. U joint on the front, rare pillow block bearing at the back. The spline section itself is inside the boxed section of the front frame member and hard to get at.

You know your cruiser's. I appreciate you taking the time to help us all out.

I did have the winch off the rig. I thoroghly cleaned the shaft splines. That's a great heads up.

I was thinking the winch took the same oil as cruiser diff's. So I added GL5. Now in my searches for PTO info, I see people are saying not to use GL5. Thoughts?

Not long after adding oil, I noticed seepage from the winch input shaft bearing. I think I'll just top off the oil when I go to use the winch in the nearterm. I suppose I should try to find a replacement bearing to at least have on hand.
