Hello all,

I just recently picked up a 1985 BJ-70 here on Vancouver Island, I have been cruiserless for several years and in addition this is my first 70 series.

I have owned a 40, 2 HJ-60's and a 45PU and did some major work on them and now I am easing myself back into the TLC world with intentions of some mild mods and basic restoration.

I have looked at the archives for bumpers and I have some ideas where I'm going in that area but I am still open to comments and ideas.

My rig also has typical sagging springs and as much as I liked the OME springs on my 60 the cost is out of my range for this rig so I was thinking of going with a re-arc and adding a full length leaf to get it up off the bump stops.

My rear door holds the spare on a stock mount but the hinges are worn out, I found a guy on Ebay selling bronze bushings for the 40series and I was wondering if these will work on the 70?

If not does anyone have a parts truck that they would be willing to sell a hinge from? It can be worn out as I will be using it to fit a custom set of bushings.

Thanks
Rod
