Hi all
I have a Q an have been asked this question by some1 else I have we have noticed that our 71 series are lower on the left hand side than they are on the right hand side put in mind we drive L/H hear I have checked on the 76 and 79 same thing.
Mine is front and rear aprox 1/2 inch even after installing the lift kit and I made sure to install the correct sides as mentioned.

But I cant get my hear round it I mean the unhinge is not offset it dead smack in the measles the diffs hub is on the R/H side so why is lower on the L/H what cause the offset .

Do you guys who drive on the R/H side have the same effect as to us but on the R/H .

Pls input as this is driving me round the bend as I would I like to know why I know it's a quick fix but I doubt that the steering Column and the rest that causes this could be to give the driver easy access to the car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do a search, this topic has had a ton of discussion. I had the same issue with my RHD BJ74 using a 2 1/2" OME. It sat high on the drivers side by 3/4". In the end I pulled the rear leaf packs apart and mix and matched the leafs until they sat almost even when measured sitting upside down on the work bench. It's been a few years now and over 50 000km and the truck is still sitting level

After installing an OME lift in my LJ78 I got at least a 1" lean to the driver's side (RHD). I don't like it, but I live with it.

I would swap the coils / leafs to the other side..
Depending on where you got your lift kit from... Will depend on what side they added a bit of length the the coils / leafs to compensate for the driver......

One of the problems with springs is that its hard to get the spring rate exactly the same on all 4 corners and allow for the drivers weight as well.

Its not just a symptom of a weak spring in one corner,it can also mean that the one diagonally opposite is stronger and pushing up,forcing the other down.

Yeah I did try swapping the springs round but the problem was still there but remained on the same side I just think its the way the truck is built I even put in a Teflon spacer I made at work to compensate for the slant as I said it doesn't bother me much as I have grown used to it I just wanted to know if R/H cars had the same problem and now I know it's across all 70 series thanks guys for the quick replies
Much appreciated
