Regards,

Basically you want to know if a 84-90 J7 will interchange with a 90-98 and Im 99.9% sure they will as the aftermarket bullbars for HJ75 are the same as HZJ75.
My FJ73 bullbar mounts look the same as my HZJ75 mounts

Ya, I am just as sure - i was more wondering about the pto shaftmounting up along the frame.

The PTO shaft mounts are there, they are in the right spots. But your BJ74 PTO shaft will not fit quite right. It is irritatingly close. The 13B-T tranny package seems to be at a slightly different offset.

I did this on my post 1990 FJ75, added a PTO from a BJ71. This was many years ago. There were some issues, forget the details, but managed to get it going eventually.

Is the gearbox rotatation causing it?

There is also some elongated holes in the gearbox mount which allows for some sideways movement of the gearbox/t,case
