Yep, I've plowed through a seach, but I can't find what I need. Or I don't understand what I need.

I have a 2000 LC with a factory four pin trailer outlet -- I bought a trailer that has a seven pin conector -- but I don't need the electric brakes. Is there a factory -- or good enough -- wiring harness that will make adding the car side contector smart and easy?

Cheers -- and thanks.

I picked up 4 to 7way adapter at a local auto parts store. It came with a mounting bracket. I had to also run a hot lead with a 20 amp fuse from the battery to the 7way. You'll also need to connect the ground on the 7way to the frame. Just make sure hot lead is tucked away where it can't get hit by debris and the you tuck and zip tie everything else in a safe location as well.

This is a service bulletin I saw, you might try asking your local Toyota dealer what they are doing. Although it does not sound as easy as the adapter.

I've heard that the 4-7 conversion doesn't allow for battery charging and/or back up lights and/or running the lights in the trailer when the car isn't running?
