whats the fine toothed(teethed or however you say it) gears on the left side of the ring gear for?

It seems like dodge has some ultra redundent measures for their ABS. if you look at the housing theres a big arm on the top that runs forward and to a box(ABS.) too.

The inside thought was the quotes would be crazy low, I was going to bid $3K then heard the top bid. Freeken thing sold for over $9K. Other bids where no bid’s, other yards did not want it. Yes retail the motor is most likely $7k’ish but this was wholesale, a wreaking yard typically wants to double their $. No way is there $18K of parts on this thing, all that is there is the drive train. I know the yard that got it so I may offer a few $ for the axels before they pick it up. On the other hand I bet they are doing the math and think they need to get $5k for the axels.

Update too, the motor actually turns out to be a 6 ltr and not the commercial 7.3.

The truck I wanted to put it into would have been a 91-92 FJ80.

Bummer :(

would have been a nice replacement for your 7.3 when you forget to change the oil :flipoff2:

Sell it and buy a Cummins. Plenty of people have done that swap before.

Besides, that struggle stroke isnt a great engine anyway. I'd be surprised if it fit in the engine bay.
