Its time to start planning your 2018 wheeling trips and we sincerely hope you put the 6th Annual Mardi Krawl on that list. It is once again being held at Hawk Pride Mountain Off-Road Park in Tuscumbia, AL. We will have the park to ourselves as it will be closed for our event. And as we have had in the past, great food, the Jeff Henson Band playing on Fri night and if you choose to come to the optional dinner on Thur night, Jeff will be playing an exclusive acoustical show in the lodge again. It was a great show last year. We are having the obstacle course race again and this year we are going to add a blind driver race also. There will be prizes for the winners of both races. And of course we'll have a full raffle on Sat night. Oh, and for those who don’t like to rough it, Mark built 4more cabins with full baths. So get to our website and get yourself registered.

I’m 90% in for this event at this point. Will try and get the arrangements made this week with work and get in early on the registration.

How’s the cell reception at the park? Fingers crossed that it’s terrible but, I may need it for work...

Generally the way to tell is how many times Chris goes live at an event.

It’s great.

CLC has a cabin with plenty of floor space for a cot or air mattress so load up in there with them. Wish I was gonna be able to go but Uncle Sam has other plans...

LOL. Cell reception is pretty good in the camp area but down in the trails for the most part you’ll be safe from work calls. You can always "forget" to bring the phone with you. That way reception will be at its worst.

So, you've never been to Hawk Pride Mountain Off-Road Park? With over 1,000 acres and more than 120 trails from stock beginner to all-out buggy no matter what your level of experience and / or rig, you will have a great time. You can check out the park here: Hawk Pride. So don't wait......get yourself registered. It's gonna be a Mardi Gras style party in north Alabama.

I’m a week late but I registered. Hoping for dry weather otherwise I hear I’ll be riding everywhere.

What is there for wives and kids to do during the day if they are not out riding on the trails?

Bueller????

Bueller????
You may be asking in the wrong forum. When we are there we wheel all day. I do know they have some organized events throughout the day. Check on the Louisiana Land Krewsers forum.

Thanks guys, I am trying to decide what to do about the wife and daughters (11 and 15). They would come along for one drive and enjoy/tolerate it well enough. My wife would be willing to keep on going, but after the first run it would be all the same to my girls. They would then get bored and make themselves miserable, whereupon they will make me miserable! Some kind of diversion would be good.

Also you get kids. A couple years ago I took a couple of the wives out with me. Kidos rode with Dad.
Got them both HAMMERED....
They came back with a much better appreciation of the sport and their husbands thanked me.

Sorry for the late reply. I am not on MUD much. The only thing I know of is the Music Hall of Fame that is not far from the park in Muscle Shoals but I can’t imagine that it would keep someone interested for a whole day. If you want to take them to do some hiking and see some waterfalls there is Bankhead National Forest only 45 min away or so. Or go by Nolen's suggestion of Huntsville and the space center.

Only a couple more days to get in on the best pricing for the 6th Annual Mardi Krawl. You better hurry up! Don't miss out!
