If it has 4 doors, looks like a 40 series, chances are it's a 45LV. I can't make out the second set of doors in the pic...

I don't see rear doors either. And it looks a bit longer than an lv. And it has the 40 style side kick vent. I'm thinking Troopy.

What is 66 Bandy? Is that the model number?

By 66, I mean the year 1966. The reason I think LV is b/c of the year and the rear wheel wells. The kick vents are puzzling tho...

They made Bandys in '66? I did not think they went back that far. They certainly did not make Troopys in '66.

I think they started in 1959 with knock down kits, in 1961 they started their own local production, but from what lit I have there was not a 45LV version, but there were mid and long wheelbase 40-ish 40's. But doesn't the front end look more like a 25 than a 40? so maybe its a fj35?

the one pictured, not sure whats it call, but it has fj40 kick vents(open) the gas filler it farther forward than a 45LV, the roof looks more fj40 than 45LV

here is some lit for the Bandi, forget the year but think late60's- early 70's

I emailed the current owners down in Brazil and asked for more pics (Yes, I speak and write brazillian portuguese). Unfortunately, they did not have any more pics, but I am trying to get one of my friends locally in Brazil to go look at it and take some more pics...

Wow, Landpimp, that is some cool lit there. I guess I always assumed that Bandeirante came about in the early to mid 80s after Toyota disco'd the 40 and 45 Series. I had no idea.

the more I look at it.......the more it looks like a 35 or fj43 or something similar, which is quite possible.

I thought of the 35 and 43 too when I could not see rear passenger doors. I thing the 35 and 45 are a bit more...stout. That's the best word I can come up with right now. That's why I said the vehicle in question looks too long to be a 45v. I mean long as in the relation of lenght to height. Looking at the last two pics of the 43 you posted, that thing looks really short.

Minor hijack:
Where did 43lvs go? We never got them here in the US, did we?

Wow, awesome info!!!

I emailed the owners about the number of doors. The vehicle has 3 doors. Looking at the lit, it looks like a 43lv (figure 2 above). I didn't even know they existed!!

puzzling.

i think it's definetly not a 45LV. you can tell by the bottom body line on the rear quater. LVs have an upward angled line towareds the rear bumper. and i do not see any rear passenger doors.

not so sure about it being a 43LV either. the distance between the front doors and the rear wheelwells looks to be longer than it should be.

hmmmmm:confused:
