65 restore thread here or in 40's forum?

First order of business is the Rising Sun 40's only run a week from tomorrow. We have 17 rigs (or more) scheduled to be there. I need to figure out some seat belts so I can bring my 4 year old along...the jump seats have seat belts but not the front seats. I have a few spare 40 seat belts laying around from various rigs, but not sure any of them even match. what are my options on an early rig like this??

Timm,

Temporary solution would to be to bolt down some lap belts. This will get you out on the run. Then you can look for the OEM stuff later on.

I picked up a 65 titled as a 67, go figure. Looking at your engine compartment and noticed I have the same carb mounted to my 1F. Any idea what model and or make it is?
I also do have the hard top and sides for mine. They are corrugated, with only one side window, no curved glass.

Finally (re)picked up "Ocho Mater 40".

The 'soft' brakes are actually no brakes at all. Other than the emergency brake that Ricardo and Tim P. helped fix 5 years ago. The master cylinder reservoir was bone dry, I added fluid and tried to pump them, and nothing. Assuming the MC is bad. Not sure if I should try and find a quick bolt-on replacement, or go ahead and tear the axle down and start the disc brake swap. I have a deal on a cheap FJ60 lined up...but also found out yesterday about a 77 with disc brakes that I could part out, but not until the 18th...and I kinda wanted to drive it on the 19th.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
