That is too bad. It has some good parts on it though. Did price come up as part of your visit?

It was one of the "make an offer" sells. Which I am not a big fan off. When I asked him what he was expecting, he was around the 4k range. I told him I wasn't gonna insult him with my offer. But it's like you guys called it. 2500 parts truck. Yes all the small stuff was there and it was mostly complete and unmolested but it needs too much metal work and I cant be buying a 15 year investment. Loved the idea of a 45 but I'll just save for a decent one.

If you do ever find another one like that, be VERY CAREFUL pulling the quarter windows out and DO NOT DAMAGE THE RUBBER.
It is unobtainable and is different from the later model rubbers.
(if someone knows of a replacment rubber for them im all ears)

I was kinda thinking this. I mean I already have an fj80 with a rusty body. But the frames good. Maybe 45/80?

Well if you are set on having an fj45 SWB why not insult him with a lowball offer of 1500.00 and go up to 2000.00 if needed. Then keep looking and when one shows up you will have a parts truck.

That’s a lowball? That’s the high end for a parts truck. There’s a solid one on the west coast for $9500.

Even with all the time, space, and money invested, it is still basically just a 40 parts rig with a cool firewall tag, until you find a replacement for the passenger-side corner glass, and weatherstrip, or, build a cab from a 40 hardtop.

until you find a replacement for the passenger-side corner glass, and weatherstrip,

45 glass is somewhat available, on the used market and some NOS ones once in a while
45 weatherstrip was still available from Toyota, last I knew

He had all the glass. The corner ones were in his house
