62 to 60 grill swap, head light wiring problem.

I just hooked up my new round headlights to my FJ62 and used the normal light plug (reversing two leads) from the 62. The lights work but the low beam is very dim and high beam looks like it would pass for normal beam. Any ideas what I did wrong. Thanks

sounds like the high beam is grounding through the low beam wire..
