Here is one for the experts:
When cold starting, car will start right up and idle where it should, about 1100-1200.
After about 30-45 seconds, I can hear a clunk, not loud, but definite. It sounds like a spring loaded flap or door opening.
This event does not change the idle speed or anything else. I am not even sure it happens with every start, but seems like it. Engine warms properly and and settles into idle at 600-650, as it should.
Since it doesn't seem to do anything, I haven't really investigated it. Out of sight out of mind. Or is it serious?
What gives?
