Hi,
Just had the brakes done on my 62 , new rotors , calipers S.S. lines & pads in the front and new shoes and wheel cylinders in the back . also installed a new master cylinder while I was at it .
Went to pick it up and the tech said everything was fine but the pedal felt a little odd ........ got in it and the pedal dang near went to the floor !...... they said they bled them but for another 100$ they could poiwer flush them
So I brought it home and have flushed them completely . they are a bit better but this is the part I don't get the pedal is nice and hard with the engine off but when I start it up the pedal drops 2-3 in's and gets spongy as all get out anyone have an idea whats wrong here ?

I've had a problem in the past where I had to double pump my brakes to get them to grab. They also pulled to one side as well. The fix was properly setting the bearing preload on the nut holding the rotor. It might be worth a shot.

Look in the FAQ for rebuilding the Birfs and toward the end it'll tell you how to set the bearing pre-load using a fish scale.

Make sure they are bleeding the LSPV and make sure to bleed in the correct order. Had a similar problem, took it back 3 or 4 times to the shop. Took them that many times to bleed it correctly. No more soft brakes.
